LaSalle College Vancouver has relocated to a new building designed by TAD architecture. The College boasts approximately 90,000 square feet across the buildings seven floors, including two large terraces on the third and seventh floors. City Blocks was brought in to outfit these terraces with flexible modular furniture that would create a space for students to unwind and soak up some sun.
Outfitted with 54 pieces of our urban furniture, these terraces are built to serve the students and staff in any and all ways they might want to enjoy this beautiful outdoor space. With Woonerf and Arch tables to facilitate communal meals or work sessions, Urban Loungers for kicking back, Pocket Block for a more focused, personal space and City Pong Tables to unleash some energy and joy!
Ali Bruce's Artist Series City Pong table takes center stage on the beautiful 7th floor terrace.
The Pocket Block Hemisphere and Rectangles integrate with existing infrastructure, offering seating without intruding into the space .
Eight Woonerf tables supply the 3rd floor terrace with plenty of places for students to gather, work, or sit down for a meal. The 3rd floor terrace also hosts a second City Pong table!
Four of our Low Line Loungers offer the perfect spot to kick back and relax after a long day of studying or maybe even grab a nap in the sun between classes.
Studio Meanwhile and City Blocks has the privilege of working from the unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō (Sto:lo), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, also known as Vancouver, British Columbia. While this is our local home, we recognize that our work extends into the global realm of public space and has an impact on contested, politicised lands that have been and continue to be stewarded by many different and distinct local groups. It is our intention to help elevate these spaces in respectful and honourable collaboration with those who inhabit them, to further our mission to make public space available and accessible, for all people.
